Badminton Documentary: Shuttle
A nicely filmed badminton documentary by Rob Hardcastle. To appreciate the cinematography, view the videos on the HD setting.
Shuttle by filmmaker Rob Hardcastle is an observational documentary about the culture of Badminton in Malaysia, particularly amongst the Chinese community there.
Whilst being fairly under exposed in the West, badminton is huge in the Far East, and is in fact Malaysia's national sport.
This documentary tries to capture some of the passion for the sport, the way that it has evolved into a super fast and strategic game and how it is deeply ingrained within the culture. It includes interviews with legends of the sport Wong Choong Hann and Lee Wan Wah.

Badminton World Championships 2011
An exciting week ahead as this year's Badminton World Championships commences on Monday. The tournament has already secured some impressive new sponsors and partners in Red Bull and Citroën - a good sign that badminton is beginning to appeal to major corporations.
UPDATE: Unfortunately as Foxtel has purchased the rights to the tournament, the live stream is not available in Australia. Foxtel subscribers should check their guides for broadcast times.
For avid badminton fans, the BWF will be streaming all seven days of action live from Wembley Arena. Most sessions coincide with our evenings. Coverage for the round of 64 will start from 5pm Perth time, whilst sessions on subsequent days will commence from 6pm. The finals will be held on Sunday at 7pm.
